A bird bath is one of the simplest ways to invite birds into your yard. Fresh water attracts a wide variety of species year-round, but keeping that water clean is key.
Standing water can quickly become a breeding ground for bacteria, algae, and even mosquitoes, especially in warmer months. To keep birds safe and your bird bath looking clean, empty the water every 1–3 days in hot weather and at least once a week in cooler seasons.
